In 2005, Huapont merged and acquired Shaanxi Hanjiang Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter called "Hanjiang Pharmaceutical" ), and takes it as the API exporting base. Hanjiang Pharmaceutical is an US-cGMP compliant pharmaceutical enterprise ranking among the largest manufacturers for drug substances of anthelmintic in China. This company is not only COS acquired for several products, but also US-FDA inspected and approved. A cGMP-compliance manufacturing plant was established in Hanjiang Pharmaceutical in the 1980s, and a stable and close relationship between them has been formed.Hanjiang Pharmaceutical became an API supplier for Janssen Pharmaceutical Belgium, and receives the annual audit performed by Janssen since it first passed the GMP audit by Janssen in 1992.

This acquisition allows Huapont to combine its own R&D strength with the cGMP advantage and production capability of Hanjiang Pharmaceutical, which greatly enhanced the competence of the company as an API supplier for the international market.
